Resolution is proud to support the Tees Valley Digital Innovation Survey led by Embeddable. The survey plays a vital role in capturing an impartial picture of how innovation is really working across our region and what prevents it.
Sharon Starkey, managing director at Resolution, will again be providing expert commentary on the results and believes the survey’s strength lies in its breadth of voices. “Innovation doesn’t happen in a vacuum or just within the tech sector,” says Sharon. “It effects every organisation and every industry. Embeddable’s survey gives people a chance to say what’s working, what isn’t and what support is genuinely needed to help innovation thrive.”
Last year’s survey highlighted access to funding and resistance to change as two of the biggest barriers to innovation in the region. This year’s survey asks participants whether those challenges still hold true and what other factors are preventing progress.
Peter Calvert, founder of Embeddable, is keen to hear from as many people as possible: “The survey gives us real data to establish the market’s perception of innovation, how it is perceived in businesses and what stands in its way. Participants contribute anonymously and every response feeds into a final report that reflects the reality of innovation in our region.”
The survey is open to everyone and is supported by a panel of expert contributors, including Bob Makin (Behaviour Interactive), Rebecca Minchella (Maven), Sharon Starkey (Resolution), Beverley Goodall (Abacus Bean), Al Alzein (Dynamo) and Simon Green (EDGE), who will help analyse and interpret the insights shared.
Sharon commented: “Whether you work in tech or not, your opinion on this matters. Innovation shapes jobs, services, productivity and growth across the Tees Valley. Listening to a wide range of perspectives allows us to drive meaningful, inclusive progress.”
The survey takes just seven minutes to complete and for every submission £1 will be donated to Zoe’s Place.
Peter concludes: “Innovation in our region is something I care deeply about. I’m humbled by the people involved and hopeful that together we can continue to put the Tees Valley firmly on the map when it comes to innovation.”
