The Caring Kind was created by care providers with support from Redcar and Cleveland Council as well as Anglo American through their Thriving Communities Programme. The campaign aims to celebrate professionals in the care sector and to raise the profile of the exciting careers within the industry. We were tasked to develop a brand and supporting website that that simplifies how the public finds care sector roles within Redcar and Cleveland.


Our team was tasked with creating a brand that inspired pride. A colour palette of blues and creams was chosen, complemented by a sunny yellow to add a brighter outlook that works in harmony with the trusted blue. The brand itself had to work at many sizes, from billboards to pin badges and the choice of font had legibility at the forefront of our minds. The illustrations and photography allowed us to bring a friendlier image that sets the brand apart from traditional campaigns for the industry.


The project required a dedicated website with user friendly access to job opportunities within the region, as well acting as a central hub for those already in the industry to share knowledge. The design team kept the interface simple, ensuring users could clearly search for jobs and apply directly to each adult social care provider. The job finder filters results using an easy-to-use search function and the website allows providers to create an account to upload relevant job listings.
